1. Introduction
My Clone INC ("we", "our") operates the Weave application ("App"), a hyperlocal events discovery and social connections platform focused on Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you use the App, in compliance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD — Law No. 13,709/2018). By creating an account and using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Personal data provided by you
- Display name and username (@username)
- Profile photo
- Date of birth (used exclusively for age verification — minimum 18 years)
- Mobile phone number (used for SMS/OTP authentication)
- Google Sign-In (OAuth) — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account
- Profile bio
- Interests selected during onboarding (event categories)
- Photos and images uploaded for comic creation, event posting, and public feed
- Original photos used to generate comics (stored in private Diary; when you opt in, also visible in public Feed and profile)
- Event attendance confirmations (public and private events)
- Messages sent in Xaveco Chat
- Event content created by you (title, description, location, date, photos)
- Badges (system-generated based on app activity)
- Audio recordings and voice transcriptions — when creating comic captions, you can choose to use your voice instead of typing. If you opt to use this feature, the app records your audio and sends it to a third-party transcription service to convert it to text. Audio files are not stored after transcription is complete.
2.2 Location data
- Approximate location (when authorized) to display nearby events and bars
- Location used for tagging places in comics and posts
- Aggregated and anonymized location metrics for Business accounts
Location data is collected only while the app is in active use (foreground). We use low-accuracy location data for features such as nearby event discovery. We do not collect location data in the background.
2.3 Contacts data
- Device contact list (when authorized) to find friends already on Weave
- Contacts used to invite people to events you create
- Contacts used to send updates about confirmed attendance at events
Contacts are processed locally and are not stored on our servers.
2.4 Usage data
- Pages viewed, events accessed, bars visited
- Usage frequency and times
- Feature interactions (Xaveco, comics, events)
- Performance metrics and errors
2.5 Device data
- Device model, operating system and version
- Unique device identifier
- IP address
- Language and timezone
- Biometric authentication data (Face ID / fingerprint) — used solely for local device authentication to secure app access. Biometric data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
3. How We Use Your Data
3.1 Purposes
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App
- Verify your identity and minimum age (18 years)
- Display relevant events and bars in your area
- Enable comic creation from your photos using artificial intelligence
- Enable creation and management of public and private events
- Facilitate social connections through Xaveco
- Automatically filter text and visual content (photos) via AI to ensure user safety
- Send notifications about events, matches, and relevant activities
- Provide aggregated and anonymized metrics for Business accounts
- Prevent fraud and ensure platform security
3.2 Legal basis (LGPD)
- Consent (Art. 7, I): for collection of photos, location, contacts, and AI processing
- Contract performance (Art. 7, V): to provide App services
- Legitimate interest (Art. 7, IX): for service improvement and platform security
- Legal obligation (Art. 7, II): when required by competent authority
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following situations:
- Service providers: companies that assist us in operating the App (hosting, SMS delivery, analytics, OpenAI for comic generation and automated text and visual content filtering).
- Other users: your display name, username, profile photo, bio, badges, comics published to the public Feed, and original photos (when you opt to include them) are visible to other users.
- Business accounts: aggregated and anonymized metrics about visit frequency and times.
- Legal obligation: when required by competent authority, court order, or applicable law.
- Rights protection: to protect the rights, property, or safety of Weave, our users, or the public.
- Google (authentication provider): when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. This data is governed by Google's privacy policy.
- Deepgram (speech-to-text): we use Deepgram, a third-party speech-to-text service, to transcribe audio recordings. Audio data is transmitted to Deepgram's servers for processing.
- Mapbox (map rendering): we use Mapbox to render maps within the app. When you view maps (e.g., event locations), your general location data and device information may be shared with Mapbox for map tile rendering.
4.1 Photo processing by AI
When you create a comic, your photos are processed by OpenAI to generate the stylized comic. Original photos are:
- Sent to the AI provider exclusively for comic processing
- Not used for AI model training
- Stored in your private Diary and, when you opt in, in the public Feed and profile
4.2 Automated content filtering and moderation
All content entered in the App — both text (comic captions, event descriptions, Xaveco Chat messages, bios, and any other text) and visual (photos and images) — is automatically analyzed by AI systems to detect content that violates our community guidelines. Flagged content may be automatically blocked or forwarded for review by the moderation team. You are notified when your content is blocked or removed.
5. International Data Transfers
Some of our service providers are located outside Brazil. In particular:
- AI providers used for comic generation and text/visual content filtering may process data on servers in the United States or other jurisdictions
- Cloud hosting services may use infrastructure in United States
- SMS and push notification services may operate in other countries
- Deepgram (US-based): audio data may be transferred to the United States for speech-to-text transcription processing
- Mapbox (US-based): general location data may be processed by Mapbox for map tile rendering
In these cases, transfers are based on the following safeguards under LGPD Art. 33:
- Specific contractual clauses with data protection obligations equivalent to Brazilian law
- Provider commitment not to use data for their own purposes
- Technical security measures (encryption in transit and at rest)
6. Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) servers located in the United States. We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
- Encryption at rest for sensitive data
- Role-based access control for staff
- Continuous security monitoring
- Multi-factor authentication for administrative access
No system is 100% secure. In the event of a security incident compromising your data, we will notify you and the ANPD as required by LGPD.
6.1 Data backup
The App offers data backup (comics, photos, settings) via iCloud (iOS) or Google Drive (Android). When enabled:
- Data is stored encrypted on your device's cloud service
- Only you can access and restore your backup
- Backup is deleted when you disable the feature or delete your account
7. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as necessary to provide App services. Specific periods:
- Profile data: while account is active
- Comics and photos: while account is active or until manual deletion
- Xaveco Chat messages: while account is active or until manual deletion
- Usage data and analytics: while account is active
- After account deletion: there is no additional retention period. Deletion is immediate upon your request and confirmation.
8. Your Rights (LGPD)
Under LGPD, you have the right to:
- Confirmation and access: know if we process your data and access it
- Correction: correct incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data
- Anonymization, blocking, or deletion: of unnecessary or excessive data
- Portability: request transfer of your data to another provider. To exercise your data portability right, please contact us at admin@mycl.one. We will provide your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format within the legally required timeframe.
- Deletion: of personal data processed based on consent
- Information: about entities we share your data with
- Consent revocation: at any time

To delete your account and all associated data: Settings > Delete Account
9. Account and Data Deletion
At Weave, we respect your right to privacy. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, you can do so at any time.
- How to Request Deletion:
- Go to the Weave app.
- Open the Settings page.
- Click on the Delete Account option and follow the on-screen instructions.
- What Will Be Deleted: All personal information and data associated with your account will be permanently deleted from our database. We do not retain or store any of your information after account deletion.
- Retention Period: There is no additional retention period. Deletion is immediate upon your request and confirmation.
- Contact: If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact us at admin@mycl.one.
- Partial Deletion: You can request partial deletion of your data by sending an email to admin@mycl.one. Your account will not be deleted, but your data will be deleted from our servers.
When you delete your account:
- Your profile, comics, and personal data will be removed
- Xaveco Chat messages will be deleted
- Events you created may remain visible with "deleted user" indication
This process is in compliance with Google Play policies and ensures your data privacy.
10. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The App may use local tracking technologies to maintain your session and preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Technologies and SDKs we use:
- Sentry — Crash reporting and error tracking
- Custom Analytics (BigQuery) — Usage analytics and app improvement
- Firebase Cloud Messaging — Push notifications
- Firebase Remote Config — Feature flags and app configuration
- Firebase App Check — Platform integrity and fraud prevention
11. Minors
The App is intended exclusively for users aged 18 and over. We do not intentionally collect data from minors. Age verification is performed during registration through date of birth. If we identify that a user under 18 has created an account, the account will be terminated and data deleted.
12. Third-Party Data
12.1 Events from third-party platforms
Weave displays public event information obtained from third-party platforms. This data is used exclusively to facilitate event discovery in Belo Horizonte. Weave is not responsible for the accuracy or currency of this information. When redirected to a third-party platform, you will be subject to that platform's terms of use and privacy policy.
12.2 User-created events
Weave allows users to create and publish their own events. Weave is not the organizer of these events and is not responsible for their content, execution, or any resulting issues.
13. Future Features
The App may introduce new features involving additional data collection or use. In such cases, this Policy will be updated in advance and, where applicable, we will request new consent.
